The three Divine Performing Arts (DPA) companies launched their 80-city 2009 World Tour last December and are traveling throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and will soon arrive in Oceania.

The audiences’ feedback from the free world has been censored by the Chinese regime, yet their censorship ironically drew more interest. Although the show is still not allowed to be performed in mainland China, those who live in China were able to view the New York-based company’s performance through the Internet and via DVDs.

Mr. Wang from Jiangsu Province was among those that have been able to view the show via the Internet, having managed to see the show on Chinese New Year’s Eve on Jan. 25.

He said, “There were magnificent ethnic and traditional dances. It was very close to the traditional morality and sense of beauty of Chinese people. The stage design and setting were all exceptional. It was close to the customs of Chinese people. DPA displayed the traditions of the Chinese.”

Guan Guimin, the celebrated tenor of DPA, has been a household name in mainland China since the late 1970s. Upon hearing his song, “Let Me Not Regret,” Mr. Wang said, “[It was] very, very beautiful.”

He said that Mr. Guan was his idol when he was in high school. At the DPA show, his songs were moving and embraced profound lyrics.

As for the whole production, Mr. Wang said, “Very wonderful, very pure art. It was a perfect show.”

On the same night, another person from Sichuan Province, Zhou Guangfu, broke the net blockade and watched DPA.

“There seemed to be a mysterious power that opened my inner heart,” said Mr. Zhou.

“It was a sacred mist—my soul was moisturized, touched, and moved. It delivered a remote feeling and sensation from long ago that probably didn’t even belong to recorded years of history.

“Upon watching the show, I fell asleep and woke up again. My mind was filled with those beautiful things and natural sensations. I have never seen such things, and my heart has never had such feeling, yet DPA displayed them to me.

“The show conveyed a very clear, truthful, tender, compassionate, and friendly feeling.”

Mr. Zhou said that he was “awakened” after seeing DPA as he saw through the “ugly tricks” of the Chinese regime. He also mentioned the annual Spring Festival show held by the government.

“The Chinese Communist Party’s Spring Festival shows have been completely perverted. Righteousness and compassion never existed in that show. They don’t differentiate good and evil.”
