NEW YORK—A group of friends, including two professional jewelry designers, said they felt creatively inspired by Shen Yun Performing Arts after seeing the show Friday evening, Jan. 7, at David H. Koch Theater of Lincoln Center.

“It was able to help me creatively. I will entwine it into what I already do, because I sell to women of all cultures,” said Sandy, a jewelry designer. “The jewelry that all the performers had on has significant value. I looked at it [the jewelry] very carefully.”

Beverly Sapphire said when she was watching the show she gravitated to the jewelry, especially the elaborate head pieces.

“It was art,” Ms. Sapphire said.

Ms. Sapphire had gotten tickets to the show as a birthday present and brought her two best friends, Sandy and Phyllis, to see it.

“And what an awesome birthday gift,” said Phyllis Boyd. “I thought the performance was excellent, captivating. The choreography was really, really great. The colors, the costumes, and like they said, very gracefully done.”

“I’ve been to a lot of shows, a lot of collaborations, and this was just one to be shared,” said Sandy. “I will definitely recommend it to all of my friends because it was truly a great performance.”

Shen Yun Performing Arts will perform at the Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater until Jan. 16. For more information visit ShenYunPerformingArts.org
