HIROSHIMA, Japan—Japanese elites felt what they could only describe as divine grace after attending Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen HBG Hall in Hiroshima, Japan on Jan. 2, 2023.
“[Shen Yun] is really awesome, absolutely wonderful. I felt an electric current run through my whole body when the curtain was first opened,” said Mr. Kawamura Shinji, president of a Japanese construction company. “[Shen Yun made me] feel that this year will be a good year.”
Ms. Kametani Hiromi, a Japanese dance instructor, expressed gratitude.
After attending Shen Yun, Ms. Kametani also said: “I feel this year must be a good year.”
“I felt a strong energy emitted by Shen Yun dancers,” he said. “Today is my best day because each dancer gave me tomorrow’s energy. I really appreciate it!”
Mr. Watanabe said that he first attended Shen Yun in 2020, which gave him a shocking but pleasant feeling that he couldn’t forget. Since then, he looked forward to returning.
“It’s purely perfect!” Mr. Watanabe said. “Thank you very much, Shen Yun!”
With Divine Guidance
A Shen Yun performance consists of nearly 20 vignettes, including story-based dances set throughout history, up to the present day.“I love all [Shen Yun’s] programs, I’m very interested in the development of the stories,” said Mr. Sasaki Tetsu, owner of restaurants and a cooking school. “The performance of [the Chinese instrument] erhu is very expressive, which is great. The soprano’s voice is very bright, which amazed me.”
“Attending this show, I felt that I was treated as an emperor!” said Mr. Aoki Tatsuhiro, an executive of an auto parts company. “The performance is wonderful.”
“Everything is under the divine’s control, no matter virtue or vice. With the divine’s guidance, even a wicked person can be educated,” Mr. Aoki said.
Amazing Backdrop
Mr. Mizuno Haruhito, head of a private school, was impressed with the production.“Shen Yun’s flow was gorgeous, it’s really brilliant,” he said.
“The heavenly maidens were flying down [to the stage] from far away [on the backdrop], which surprised me,” Mr. Mizuno said. “Watching it made you feel that you are in a myth. It’s very exciting!”
“The dance and backdrop entered my field of vision at the same time. The feeling is wonderful. I was very moved,” said Mr. Yoshimura Shinzi. “The dance and backdrop combine very well. They cooperated seamlessly.”
