MILAN—Adriano Teso, and entrepreneur who participated in the founding of the IVM group and an active member of the community formerly elected to the Parliament, enjoys learning about culture.

Mr. Teso and his wife, Laura Morino, enjoyed Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Teatro Arcimboldi on April 27.

“What started in the first half continued in the best possible way, the show continued to thrill,” said Mr. Teso after the performance. “The skill of the dancers, the choreography, the costumes, the scenography, but also the important message of political sociality, that the whole world must understand each other, there must be no violence.”

New York-based Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance company, and has a mission to revive 5,000 years of China’s divinely inspired culture through the arts.

“A non-communist culture that should exist even now. A culture that so expresses great freedom, a great desire to feel good with everyone. A culture that does not tolerate oppression and violence,” Mr. Teso said.
The words truth, compassion, and tolerance were highlighted in the performance, and made an impression on Mr. Teso.
“I live by these values. Because they are important for a world that lives well. Each of us cannot live well if the others are not well too,” Mr. Teso said.
He felt inspired by Shen Yun’s efforts to revive traditional culture.
“It’s very important, especially today, with the wars going on in the world. There must be a world where one speaks, one understands, without violence, without oppression,” he said.

Ms. Morino, once a model, took her expertise in the fashion industry and catapulted a successful events organizing company. She said she felt a connection with the artists from the performance, and lauded the talent and artistry.

“They’re good, they’re all very coordinated, the synchronicity of the dancers is admirable,” she said. “This last act carries a good message.
