A man in Indonesia is claiming to be 145 years old, which would make him the oldest living person ever recorded, notes The Independent.

His name is Mbah Gotho, and he reportedly has documentation confirming that he was born on December 31, 1870.

Gotho has said that the key to longevity is patience, but after living longer than all his siblings, wives, and even kids, he has publicly declared that “What I want is to die.”

According to The Telegraph, one grandchild has even said that Gotho had prepared for his death 24 years ago by purchasing a burial plot and gravestone.

To fill his time until then, the man listens to the radio since his eyesight has declined too much to watch television; his overall health has also reportedly become more fragile in the past few months.
