The time we spend with our loved ones is precious as every moment is meaningful and creates memories that we’ll cherish forever. Ask those moms and dads who work in the armed forces and other jobs that require them to stay away from their dear ones over long periods of time.

A short video posted by Airman Cameron Yancey on his Facebook page on July 2018 shows the adorable moment when he comes home to surprise his son. The reaction from his son welcoming him after 7 months-long deployment in the Middle East is something Yancey will never forget.

In the video, the dad is filmed walking up to the door and knocking as if he were a stranger. Cade, his 5-year-old son, has no idea his dad is coming and opens the door to see who is on the other side.

Once he opens the door, little Cade is stunned, taken aback to see his beloved dad after so many months. Cade, who stood shocked for a few seconds, quickly gets over it and jumps straight into his daddy’s arms.

“Daddy!” he cries, then turns over his shoulder to yell into the house. “Mommy, Daddy! My daddy’s home!”

The mother comes to the door but stands back to allow Cade to savor this unforgettable moment with his dad. Yancey is seen wrapping his little one in his arms and holding on as if he’ll never let go.

Cade cries out over and over again, “I missed you, I missed you, daddy, I missed you!”

The video has since gone viral, racking up more than 11 million views and getting more than 166,000 shares.

Cade’s delight, which is expressed in his appealing voice and the emotional reunion between father and son, is enough to move even the most stoic person to tears.

This has got to be one of the most heartwarming videos of a serviceman coming home to his family we have ever seen.
