There was a time when I was constrained, not by physical walls but by societal norms and my own limiting beliefs. I felt boxed in, unable to truly express the freedom I longed for. It wasn’t until I discovered the great outdoors and the liberating world of camping that I began to heal and flourish.
In my youth, camping was often seen as a “man’s hobby.” The gear, the roughing it, the manual labor of setting up a camp—all seemed to shout “masculine.” However, the first time I lit a campfire by myself, something shifted within me. I realized that I was connecting with something primal—something that transcended gender roles. I felt empowered.
