The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has accepted an advisory panel’s recommendations on vaccines for chikungunya disease, which is transmitted to humans by mosquitoes.

The recommendations were made by the health agency’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) during a meeting in April, according to the CDC.
