Multiple sunscreen products sold in Australia have been removed from the market following concerns that they do not provide the claimed protection from UV radiation, the country’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) said in an update on Oct. 3.
An Aug. 22 recall notice from the TGA informed citizens that sunscreen brand Ultra Violette had recalled all batches of its Lean Screen SPF 50+ sunscreens from the market “due to inconsistency in the SPF level of the product.”
