A well-rested night is essential to start a productive day. It’s so easy to pack some freshly blended goodness into your day with this 5-ingredient bedtime green smoothie.
There are four main vitamins and minerals that promote better sleep: tryptophan, magnesium, calcium, and vitamin B6. Spinach is high in magnesium, which naturally relaxes nerves and muscles, calms the body, and encourages sleep.
Bananas are a bedtime superfood. They’re packed with potassium and vitamin B-6 and are also a source of magnesium and tryptophan.

Servings: 1 Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 0 minutes Total time: 5 minutesIngredients:
3 Green kiwis 1 Banana 2 Cucumbers 1 ounce Baby spinach 5 tablespoons plain Greek yogurtDirections:
- Peel your kiwis, banana, and cucumbers. If preferred, you can leave the cucumber skin on.
- Chop them roughly into big pieces.
- Add all ingredients to a blender. Puree until smooth.
- Serve 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to sleep.
