PASADENA, Calif.—Rosemary, part of a family of famous entertainment producers, loved every minute of The Divine Performing Arts (DPA) International Company’s performance at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Saturday, Jan. 3.

Now retired, Rosemary has been in show business for most of her life. Her family was the original one to bring productions to Las Vegas with big acts and many performers. She shared her knowledge of production of large shows and was very impressed by the DPA performance.

“Because of my background,” she said, “I’m very familiar with sets and costumes and production and choreography. And this show is very professional.”

Rosemary particularly loved the dances and the costumes, saying, “The dancers are just wonderful. The costumes are beautiful. I love particularly the colors that they’ve chosen. The colors are so rich; they’re putting purples and reds together, and golds and greens together. It’s very exciting and very beautiful.”

“And hairdos. Everything about the show is done beautifully. I don’t know who the producer is or the directors are, but they’ve really done a beautiful job.”

Rosemary talked admiringly about the performances that were traditional Chinese stories. “They’re all part of the oriental philosophies, which is charming.”

Rosemary thought audiences, especially Asian people, would thoroughly love DPA and recommended it to all.

“I noticed we had a lot of Oriental people in the audience today, they relate tremendously, and in San Francisco, they really will feel it. But not being Oriental, I still love the production of the show. It is so dramatic and so beautiful. Everybody will enjoy it.”
