Coleslaw With Tequila-Lime Dressing
Let’s take an old-time backyard barbecue favorite and flavor it up a notch! Instead of just using apple cider vinegar for tang, we also add tequila. Along with the lime juice, it helps break down the cabbage. The enhanced citrus flavor is like a creamy bite of margarita in a cool salad.
Makes about 6 servings

Total Time: 4 hours, and 5 minutes
- 1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup honey
- Juice of 1 lime
- 6 tablespoons tequila
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 (16-ounce) bag tricolor coleslaw
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, honey, lime juice, tequila, and apple cider vinegar.
Pour the coleslaw into a large bowl. Pour the mayonnaise mixture over the coleslaw and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours, or until ready to serve. Stir well before serving.
