Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day! Here’s a healthy and indulgent dessert that you can make for your sweetheart, friends or for yourself. The best part is there is no sugar but lots of pure deliciousness in this dessert. Raw cacao is packed with antioxidants and magnesium and is known for it’s mood-boosting properties. Chia seeds have omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, calcium and iron. The red chili pepper flakes add a little kick and a nice touch of warmth.

Chocolate Mousse with a Chili Pepper Kick

  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 2 to 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Dash of red chili pepper flakes (up to 1/4 tsp to taste)
  • Stevia to taste (I'd use about 2 packets)

Just add everything to the Vitamix or blender, give it a spin and let it chill in the fridge for at least 1/2 hour before serving. Garnish with berries and enjoy! This recipe will make 4 small servings.
