Not to be confused with the 2013 junior golf documentary of the same name, “The Short Game,” on the surface, is a story about competitive high school golfers. As with most sports movies, this one comes with deeper, meaning-of-life underpinnings, such as the value of friends and family and sportsmanship (both good and bad).
