CHICAGO—As the sun shown brightly, the first warm hints of spring arrived in Chicago this weekend. Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company returned to grace the stage at the Civic Opera House for the second week this season.

Jerry Beno, property manager for condo associations in Chicago, was highly impressed after attending Shen Yun this afternoon and said the show inspired him. “It really inspires me to pull out some dreams inside of me because I see those spirits up on stage. I see them really putting their heart and soul into their dancing and their song, and I just kind of walk away like, Wow! Maybe I can fly a little bit!”

He said he was touched by Shen Yun’s presentation of classical Chinese culture. “It really is a work of art, a living work of art as you could say. It’s very inspiring for me. I really appreciate the art form that it is: the combination of the costumes, the song and the dance.”

Mr. Beno said he had heard about Shen Yun from a colleague and knew he had to see it. “I walked in with an open mind and I appreciate the Chinese culture. I really enjoyed the show quite a bit. It’s very inspiring for me,” he said.

Mr. Beno concluded by saying he would recommend Shen Yun to his friends.
