NORTHAMPTON, UK—Richard Radwell, an engineer, saw Shen Yun Performing Arts on Jan. 21 at Royal & Derngate.
“Absolutely superb. First impression was stunning, just as the curtains opened—lost for words, instant amazement! The colors, the dress, the performance, absolutely stunning. This is what I call a show,” Mr. Radwell said.
“You go to so many things, and maybe it doesn’t meet your expectations, but this is absolutely amazing. There is a story behind it, a moral story, which I think the world needs to listen to, and on every level, absolutely amazing. I couldn’t rate it higher, to be honest,” Mr. Radwell said.
“It exceeded my expectations, and the performers themselves clearly work very hard. You don’t achieve that excellence without effort. There’s a lot of time, a lot of effort, a lot of thought, and to produce a show every year that’s different is absolutely amazing,” Mr. Radwell said.
“There’s an energy which runs through us all. I genuinely believe that energy is love, and it goes throughout the world, through everything. This is a story of love. You’ve got to admire this story, you’ve got to admire the people that perform. You’ve got to admire the people behind the scenes because it is a story of hope. The world needs a little bit of hope in a big way,” Mr. Radwell shared.
“The transition from the animation to the stage is phenomenal. I hadn’t really understood how that was going to work, but absolutely ... Coming from animation into reality with such effortless transformation. How did they do that, especially when one guy just changes his appearance in a split second. It’s almost like, hang on, did I actually see that?” Mr. Radwell exclaimed.
