QUERÉTARO, Mexico—“I was deeply moved—truly deeply moved—seeing a story spanning over 5,000 years reflected in these dances,” Eduardo García said of Shen Yun Performing Arts from the theatre. “I could feel it, I could hear it, and I resonated with every movement. It was truly unforgettable.”
On April 28, Mr. García and his wife, Lucero López, attended the opening performance of Shen Yun in Querétaro at the Teatro Metropolitano Querétaro.
Mr. García is the chief telecommunications engineer at one of Mexico’s leading mobile phone companies, where he is responsible for designing telecommunications network architecture, providing technical guidance, and managing the execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. His wife, Ms. López, is a pastry chef specializing in chocolate.
Reflecting on Shen Yun’s portrayal of traditional Chinese culture and its universal themes, Mr. García expressed his sincere appreciation.
“They showed me and led me to explore the divinity, harmony, and peace within myself,” he said. “I could see it in every dance and every movement. At the same time, it encouraged me to search for it and find it within myself.”
For Mr. García, the experience left a lasting impression. “I take away peace; I take away hope … I take that with me, and I will also remember all the energy they expressed in every movement.”
Ms. López was equally moved by the performance. “I absolutely loved it. I was amazed by how every movement was so light, as if they could fly. It truly fascinated me,” she said. “The performance shows what human beings are capable of achieving, and the connection between the divine and humanity.”
For Ms. López, the experience was profound and not easily put into words. “The most important takeaway is something I can’t quite express. Their art reveals divinity. They seem to float, as if they came from another world, not this earth. The emotions and energy they transmit, everything they radiate, deeply touched me.”
“I would tell them to continue sharing everything they carry within, because in one way or another, they are helping people,” Mr. García said.
