Mr. Enrique Vega, a counselor, was amazed by the Shen Yun dancers. “They’re exquisite, amazing, the movement is incredible,” he said, “I noticed that their movements are very, very difficult to do.”
Mrs. Vega echoed, “The dances, they’re beautiful. They’re very, very exquisite, I would say.”
“I’ve never seen this technique where they dance into the screen and they come out of the screen. That’s a once in a lifetime for me. That’s amazing.” Mr. Vega said, “And it’s so well done. The timing and the precision of the technology with the human movement is unbelievable. It really is a one-of-a-kind show.”
Mr. Vega enjoyed the dance and the music, “It’s nice to have a live orchestra. And the [dance] movements are timed to the music perfectly.”
Shen Yun’s dance drama that depicts the courage of faith in modern China left a lasting impression on the couple.
Mr. Vega appreciated the dance because it tells “a story that has to do with the freedom of religion that is not allowed in China.”
He continued, “It’s the struggle between having the freedom to worship versus not having it at all, or that you would only worship the state.”
Mrs. Vega added, “It’s about the freedom to express also.”
The couple said they would be “bringing friends and relatives” to see Shen Yun.
