HOUSTON—On Dec. 28, Rosalind Gary, district director for State Representative Ron Reynolds of District 27, came to see Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Jones Hall for the Performing Arts.
Ms. Gary shared that her office values diversity. “So, when we received the invitation, we jumped at it. ... Our office is going to encourage everyone to come and see it,” she said.
“The show was just breathtaking. It was mesmerizing. The actors, the actresses, the vivid colors, the messages. It was just really outstanding. It had me laughing at one point and wanting to cry at another. My family and I, my son, my husband, we really enjoyed it, and we hope to come back again,” Ms. Gary said.
“So what I saw from the comparison of before and after. Before communism, it seemed like everyone was happy, living together, living their lives, enjoying their families. But afterwards, it is a very bleak time. But I’m sure with your faith and your hope and God, everything will revert back. I feel that you just got to hold on to your faith and everything will be okay,” Ms. Gary said.
“I think y'all are amazing. It’s just incredible. The dancing, the choreography, the message. The message is resounding without words. And it’s just an honor to be able to see you guys in action, making your message a reality and communicating it to the world,” Ms. Gary said.
