Maddalena Diani, a retired doctor, said New York-based Shen Yun was “fantastic.”
“It’s a unique show in Italy, it’s unimaginable. I always heard about it and I was very curious to come and see it, and I must say that reality exceeds the imagination because combining scenes of normal life with such grace and kindness and accompanied by music, it’s fantastic, it’s really fantastic.”
Sabrina Marson, owner of an interior design and architecture firm, said Shen Yun exceeded her expectations. “It was spectacular, the costumes were beautiful and historical, and I must say that the whole virtual part amazed me a lot. I have to compliment all the musicians in the orchestra because they were truly spectacular!”
Giuseppe Signorelli, a radio show host and musician, said, “The music is beautiful. Besides, I already love Chinese classical music a lot. I really like Chinese musical instruments as well, and this fusion between traditional Western and Chinese instruments, in my opinion, is very harmonious, very beautiful, and very well achieved.”
Mr. Signorelli said, “I think that in times like these, a show of this kind truly does a lot of good for the soul and the spirit. I found so much peace, so much poetry, so much gracefulness, and there is such a great need for it.
“It is a show that introduces Chinese culture, that combines ballet with an exceptional athletic gesture and moreover the orchestra is very complete,” dentist Enrico Anzolin said. “And through this show, I was able to appreciate more than what I already knew. The Chinese culture is made of respect for humans, of traditions, and of a great moral rectitude, so it is a bit different from the image of China that I had.
“More than anything else, this is what I appreciated about this show,” he said.
Pierluigi Mantovan, a retired doctor, said, “I am speechless, enthralled by the delicacy and the message of peace and moral purity, and then by the splendor of the costumes of the great ancient Chinese people and the message of freedom in this time of war and struggle between peoples.
“This should be shown at the United Nations, that’s what comes to mind, for the great leaders. My heartfelt congratulations. Congratulations indeed, it’s fantastic.”
