MONROE, Calif.—Richard Hinkle, business owner and pastor, saw Shen Yun Performing Arts on Feb. 3 at W.L. Jack Howard Theatre.
“I think it looks like God is starting afresh. That’s the first thing I thought,” shared Mr. Hinkle.
“The message, the showmanship, the colors, the dance, everything. Everything’s beautiful. That’s why I came a second time. The first time, I was very inspired,” Mr. Hinkle said.
Shen Yun’s website says, “China was once known as ‘The Land of the Divine.’ Mr. Hinkle appreciated how the performance portrayed divinity.
“I think that’s a great hope for everyone that you stay connected to the creator, and regardless of how bad things become, the creator can come and give you hope. … we need so much more of that. It’s a great lesson for everybody, regardless of what nation you’re from; it’s just a great message,” Mr. Hinkle said.
“I think that’s the way it’s supposed to be. We should never feel far from the Creator. There always should be a connection there. It brings us all together. It brings people connected to the one common denominator, and that’s the Creator,” he said.
Many audience members have commented that Shen Yun is a wonderful performance that the whole family can enjoy. Mr. Hinkle also believes that everyone can benefit from it.
“It’s a pure story. It’s a story about hope, and I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t be inspired by it,” he said.
“The backdrop scenes are just amazing, how they coordinate it all together. That’s very impressive,” Mr. Hinkle said.
