LUBBOCK, Texas—On Jan. 6, federal agent Natalie Rojas, and internal auditor, Francisco Morales came to see Shen Yun Performing Arts at The Buddy Holly Hall.
“I like the choreography. We’ve been to a lot of different shows. And you could kind of tell one dancer is a little off or a little bit faster than the other one. And all the dancers here, all of them sync. It looks like one dancer,” Mr. Morales said.
“That was amazing. I can feel the connection with the dancer and what they’re trying to transmit to the people that are watching. So, that was incredible,” Ms. Rojas said.
Ms. Rojas was struck by the femininity of the female dancers. “That was awesome. They’re so delicate,” she said.
“They’re really focusing on their culture and the meditation process. They’re not just doing it, maybe for the money or for the love of it, but they believe because of their belief system. And it shows in the dance, and it shows definitely in the choreography and everything. So, it’s really nice. It’s gorgeous,” Mr. Morales observed.
Mr. Morales felt that Shen Yun is a wonderful way for people to learn about Chinese culture.
“If you’re an open-minded person and you want to see through a different lens, another culture. ... Because with dancing and the music, it’s gorgeous,” he said.
