ROME, Italy—Shen Yun Performing Arts captivated audiences in Rome with two sold-out performances on Feb. 16 and 17. All 13,000 seats available in the city were sold out three months in advance. Throughout Italy, Shen Yun’s 2026 world tour drew a combined audience of 64,000, with every ticket claimed well ahead of schedule.

Maria Missineo, a lawyer, said, “This performance had an absolutely positive impact on me. It allowed me to step away from the real world and daily trivialities, to free myself from work, family, and all kinds of responsibilities. It was a pure experience of transcendence and lightness. It felt as if this extraordinary and beautiful company lifted my spirit to another level, allowing me, at least during the performance, to remain in a state of lightness throughout.”

Ciriaco Serluca, a financial consultant, said, “I feel very, very, very moved. Yes, that’s how it is, absolutely. The performance was deeply touching and very engaging.”

Mr. Serluca added that, “In fact, every piece in the show was captivating. I especially loved the dance with the long sleeves, it was incredibly moving. In a way, they carried me into a Middle Kingdom that exists universally in people’s imagination. It was so beautiful.”

Based in New York, Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional culture from “China before communism” through classical Chinese dance and a live orchestra.

Ms. Missineo said, “The performance was truly wonderful. For two full hours, it was filled with kindness, warmth, and sincere emotion. Its beauty awakened a resonance in all the senses. Visually and musically, it was very, very beautiful and deeply moving. The performance also conveys important messages of compassion and tradition, which are especially precious today. In many parts of the world, these values are being lost. People are not free to express this kind of beauty through art, nor to present it in such an extraordinary performance.”

Lawyer Valentina Moscato said, “Children should draw inspiration from it, because in the world they are in today, there are no longer many traditional values. Those memories, values, traditions, and elements of the Divine are what young people today should hold firmly in their hearts.

“Even in the face of a regime that seeks to suppress these values, it is still extremely important to preserve and pass them on,” she said.

Audience members resonated with the spiritual message within the performance. Some had traveled as far as six hours by car to attend.

“We drove for six hours. We came from the Puglia region and traveled to Rome specifically to see Shen Yun,” lawyer Rosaria Busini said. “After watching the performance, our hearts are filled with happiness. We made the long journey and bought tickets because we deeply longed to see Shen Yun and were determined to come. Now, we leave with a profound sense of fulfillment, joy, and delight. We truly feel glad about this decision and will certainly return in the future to relive this beautiful experience.”

Business owner Manuela Fusella said, “From the performance, I clearly felt a pursuit of faith and a belief in never giving up. Therefore, when you pray, if you truly have something in your heart that you long for, you must pray sincerely, because God truly exists.”

Ms. Missineo said, “It is precisely this message—the important values of harmony, respect for others, and kindness—that can save the world and dissolve the anxiety engulfing everyone today. We all live in an era of extreme chaos and haste, constantly chasing a happiness that may not even exist.”

Mr. Serluca said, “I can’t find any more words to praise Shen Yun artists. Thank you for your tremendous dedication and effort. I am sure you must have prepared extensively for this. I sincerely congratulate you and am deeply grateful for everything you have done.”

Shen Yun will be returning to Rome, Italy, with performances from March 17–19 as it tours Europe and other regions on its world tour.
