Enthused University Professor Found Soul Connection with Principles in Shen Yun

University professor Carlo Pruneti was deeply moved after watching the show, stating that those principles showcased in Shen Yun resonated profoundly with his own beliefs.  He has already purchased Falun Dafa literature, planning to study it thoroughly, then spread its principles to the best of his ability.
“The show was absolutely magnificent,Mr. Pruneti, specializing in clinical psychology and psychotherapy said.  “I’ve already bought the (Falun Dafa) literature to gain further insight into its philosophy and methodologies.  ... At the same time, I thoroughly appreciated this wonderful show.  I traveled from another city specifically to see the show.  The principles conveyed by Shen Yun made a lasting impact on me, and I sincerely congratulate Shen Yun—the show was a tremendous success!

Mr. Pruneti is affiliated with the Department of Clinical Medicine at the historic University of Parma (Università degli Studi di Parma) and holds the position of director for its master’s program.

He expressed deep sorrow on Shen Yun being unable to perform in China, “I have come across reports indicating that Shen Yun cannot return to China for performances.  This is disheartening and leaves one at a loss for words.  All authoritarian regimes fear freedom, especially freedom of thought—this very ability to resist indoctrination, uphold independent thinking, and maintain clarity of mind.”

He further reflected that in today’s societal environment, the traditional values championed by Shen Yun are increasingly at odds with modern culture, presenting a challenge for Shen Yun artists.

“The challenge lies in how to effectively convey this message to the public—as pointed out by the host at the beginning of the show and as beautifully expressed by the remarkable soprano,” Mr. Pruneti said.

“Unfortunately, our Western culture, along with other cultures beyond our own, is progressing in precisely the opposite direction. Our traditions, whether religious or secular, share common ground with Chinese traditions.  I also have some familiarity with Buddhism and Indian traditions. These traditions are deeply connected with the genuine purpose of life—what humanity ought to strive for, though it has long been forgotten by mankind. As an individual and a professional, I find this deeply distressing.”

Mr. Pruneti passionately envisioned his future undertakings, “Experiencing Shen Yun serves as a confirmation for me, as well as a profound commitment—to convey the principles that resonate with my soul, elevate my consciousness, strive to comprehend, acquire knowledge, and apply them, then share them with others.  Although our contributions may seem like a mere drop in the ocean, I am committed to doing my utmost to learn, enrich myself first, and then spread these principles.”

Speaking with admiration of the performers, Mr. Pruneti keenly praised, “Shen Yun artists performed exceptionally well—so talented! The entire company is exceptionally well-trained. I love classical Chinese dance, and this was my first time experiencing it.  The artists were thoroughly prepared. I salute them and their teachers, too!”

The final dance of the first half, the Mongolian dance, was truly delightful.  Shen Yun’s mission to revive tradition is truly beautiful.  Shen Yun artists have brought traditional Chinese culture to audiences worldwide—it’s an exceptionally unique performance.”

Mr. Esposito commended Shen Yun artists, stating, “Shen Yun artists are incredibly talented—true professional dancers.”

He also humorously noted: “After seeing the show, I feel inspired to become a dancer as well—though it might be a bit late for that ...”

At the end, Mr. Esposito concluded: “I will highly recommend Shen Yun.”
