NEW YORK—For Rafael Toscano, an Argentinian living in New York, watching Shen Yun Performing Arts at Lincoln Center was an emotional experience. “This was my first time watching the show, and I cried because it’s so, so beautiful. It is divine.”
Mr. Toscano said while still in awe, “It takes you to another place, and it was pure beauty.”
“The imagery and the dancing, how it flows so delicately and so beautiful. I really appreciate [Shen Yun] for bringing this production here. It’s stunning, and it’s unparalleled. They brought so much beauty. So thank you, thank you!”
Based in New York, Shen Yun Performing Arts is celebrating 20 years of artistic excellence in presenting the beauty of “China before communism” around the world. With classical Chinese dance and music, Shen Yun is also spreading the message of hope and compassion, with the mission to revive 5,000 years of traditional culture.
As a former actor in musicals, Mr. Toscano was very impressed by Shen Yun’s “artistry and stage performance.”
“I can see the beauty of nature with all the colors and the flow of the fabric; it was stunning,” he said.
He is already planning to attend future shows, “I really hope to see Shen Yun every year, I’m gonna have to see it in Spain.”
Finally, to the Shen Yun artists, Mr. Toscano expressed his utmost gratitude, “To every artist involved—the musicians, the dancers, the singers—thank you for bringing so much beauty and delicacy. It was exquisite. Thank you for the dedication. It’s stunning, it was heavenly.”
