Shen Yun Performing Arts returned for a third time this year to the Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts in Dallas, Texas, on Feb. 10–11. Audience members shared their impressions.

“Oh my gosh, it was fantastic—absolutely fantastic. The music, the dancing, the props, the orchestra. I mean, there isn’t anything that wasn’t fantastic. It was really beautiful,” said Steve Shalosky, who attended Shen Yun on Feb. 10.

German Vivanco, who attended Shen Yun on Feb. 11, called the performance “wonderful” and “very colorful.” He praised the coordination between New York-based Shen Yun’s dancers and musicians and stagehands.

“It just took my breath away, with the way the interaction was in the background,” Terry Buzzard Jr., who attended the Feb. 11 performance said of Shen Yun’s patented special effects using a digital projection. “It just was amazing. I wasn’t expecting what I saw. It was much more, like ten times what I expected.”

Shen Yun’s one-of-a-kind animated backdrop allows the dancers on stage to jump into magical realms on screen, providing an immersive experience for the audience.

“I’m telling you, how they brought people down from the backdrop and into the performance … unbelievable, it was the coolest,” Mr. Shalosky said, describing the special effect.

Shen Yun presents stories about morals and virtues, set in both ancient China as well as modern day China.

“All the stories were amazing, you know, because they all kept the same theme of helping each other,” Mr. Buzzard said.

For Damon Copen, Shen Yun’s stories evoked some emotion.

“It brought tears to my eyes,” he said. “ The artistic performance of the dancers and the musicians was at a very high, elevated level of achievement. It was very impressive. It’s very wholesome, very true to the true nature of man, and goodness in the heart.”

Shen Yun presents a completely new show each year, with new choreography, music, sets, and costumes.

“You know, I expected to come here once and see this one time, but it’s now going to be my regular,” Mr. Buzzard said. “I’m going to figure out where to sit each time to get the best view, and I'll come back every year, every year, every year.”

Mr. Copen said: “I would encourage anyone who has not seen this to come see it. It is very good. I’m very impressed.”

“Come and see the show,” Mr. Vivanco said. “It is awesome, it is great, we love it, and a very unique experience for something in Dallas, never seen before.”

Shen Yun will be in Tucson, Arizona, from Feb. 28–March 1 as its eight companies cross the globe on Shen Yun’s 2026 world tour.
