DENVER—Business owner Kevin Wright attended Shen Yun Performing Arts’ second show at the Buell Theatre on April 9, with his wife and their granddaughter, Bella.
“The end of the show was really inspiring—the salvation piece. I really did enjoy the ending of the show. It was perfect, the whole show was just awesome. I loved it,” he said.
“We felt salvation in the show. We’re following the life of the Chinese, it felt to us, from start to finish, and that’s what we felt in the room.”
Endowed with 5,000 years of history, China was once known as the “Land of the Divine.” For millennia, its people believed that by keeping their hearts pure and adhering to strict moral standards, they would be blessed by the divine.
Indeed, for millennia, the country prospered. However, after the communist takeover and the spread of atheism, all this traditional culture was systematically destroyed. Today, Shen Yun’s mission is to bring back the beauty and goodness of China before communism.
Bella, who celebrated her 14th birthday at the performance, also had a wonderful time.
“That’s what kept me awake the whole time. I’m usually not someone who goes to these types of shows and stays awake, but I did today,” he said. “The energy on the stage was magical, I could feel the energy—it was powerful.”
“I think Shen Yun showed the compassion and the grace of the Creator in the show pretty closely.”
After being encouraged to attend by a friend who had seen the show the previous day, Mr. Wright said he would gladly recommend it to others.
“It was very spiritual, it was very nice, it was very beautiful. To all performers—great job, that was beautiful.”
