LONDON, UK—On the evening of Jan. 17, Shen Yun Global Company presented its sixth performance at Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London. The show played to a full house, with audience members responding enthusiastically, expressing their appreciation with repeated rounds of warm applause. Manoj Gohil, a CEO in the United Kingdom’s healthcare sector, was among those in attendance.

Mr. Gohil noted that the spiritual dimension conveyed through the artistry strongly resonated with him.

He praised the production’s clarity and depth, calling it “very informative” and culturally orientated. For Mr. Gohil, the performance was more than just entertainment; it was a journey of discovery. “It gives a good impression and a good understanding. It’s not what I’d expected but it’s very good,” he said.

Reflecting on the storytelling, Mr. Gohil said the program worked exceptionally well. “The two presenters are clear. I think they explain it quite well, and it’s a good show.”

Shen Yun’s live orchestra, which seamlessly blends Chinese and Western instruments into a single ensemble, left a particularly strong impression on him.

“What’s really good about the show is the music—the live music,” he said, noting that the orchestral accompaniment elevated the entire performance.

Through short dance pieces, Shen Yun brings to life the essence of China’s 5,000 years of culture. Mr. Gohil found this approach both engaging and enriching. “It works very well,” he said. “It gives you a good impression and deepens your understanding.”

He also remarked on the diversity reflected in the performance. “I think it shows the diversity—even within China, there’s a lot of diversity,” he said. “I’m Indian myself, so I understand that within one country, there can be many different cultures and attributes.”

Shen Yun’s mission to revive “China before communism” also struck a chord with him. “I think it’s always a good thing,” Mr. Gohil said. “The old traditional ways were always good. They always worked well, and bringing them back is positive.”

He added that many people today no longer truly understand these traditions. “Until it’s explained very clearly, people don’t really get it,” he said. “It’s good to go back to the roots. I think we lose these things in our TikToks and YouTubes and everything else. We lose them there, so it’s good to have this.”

In conclusion, Mr. Gohil expressed his appreciation to the artists. “Excellent work—very hard and very dedicated,” he said. “These things always look easy but they’re really hard. So well done, and thank you.”
