On the evening of March 19, Mr. Di Fazio attended Shen Yun at the Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome. A senior legal professional and government legal director who has also taught at public universities in Rome, he expressed deep appreciation for the artists and their mission, describing the performance as something rare and meaningful.
“It was certainly very moving. But what struck me most is that this is a show that takes you into a world very different from our own—a portal, in a sense, into a reality that is geographically and historically far removed from us,” Mr. Di Fazio said. “It offers the opportunity to discover a part of humanity that no longer exists, a humanity of the past that we can relive thanks to this project.”
One aspect that left a strong impression on Mr. Di Fazio was the seamless integration of digital backdrop technology with classical dance.
“What struck me deeply was the dialogue between technology and the human ability to dance alongside it—this fusion between the screen and the extraordinary athletic gifts of the dancers,” he said. “It is a truly effective and compelling solution.”
“The live orchestra is undeniably extraordinary in terms of sheer performance,” he said. “And in fact, while you are watching, you almost forget they are playing live. Truly, truly impressive.”
“I would say that they are doing something invaluable—preserving a human experience that, without a project like this, would be irretrievably lost,” he said. “Thank you!”
