DUBLIN, Ireland—Finally the days of waiting are over, the people of Ireland once again have the opportunity to experience Shen Yun at The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD).

The first of two performances is due to take place in Dublin this evening, the last time Shen Yun visited the city was in 2011. Such is the demand internationally for Shen Yun, who tour the world for almost 6 months each year visiting over 20 countries and over 100 cities, that unfortunately not every city can have the opportunity to see Shen Yun each year.

Thankfully, the people of Dublin and Ireland finally have that opportunity to see Shen Yun perform this year. To mark the occasion greetings have been extended from many dignitaries in Ireland. Ms. Catherine Murphy TD (Teachta Dála a membership of the Dáil, Irish Parliament) said,

“I’d like to offer my warmest greetings to the Shen Yun Performing Arts. They have successfully and vividly brought to life ancient Chinese artistic traditions by creating a breathtaking music, dance and costume spectacle that has been warmly received by many thousands of people around the world.”

Another welcome came from Ms Maureen O’Sullivan TD who extended a traditional Irish greeting of,

Céad Míle Fáilte (a hundred thousand welcomes) to Shen Yun on their return visit to Ireland—such amazing talent in their spectacular and colourful show.”

Local Government councillor Mr Mick Duff who was fortunate enough to see the show before said,

“I am delighted to see a return visit by Shen Yun to Dublin. The show is a dazzling and colourful display of Chinese culture, performed by wonderful dancers and musicians. The history, legends and myths of China are brought alive by the talented performers that will entertain and enchant you.”

On this Easter weekend a long overdue change in weather has occurred, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, perhaps it’s Dublin city’s way of welcoming Shen Yun too.

Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company give two performances at The Convention Centre Dublin, Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20.
