MILAN, Italy—On Jan. 17, the Shen Yun New York Company presented two performances at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, Italy. The performances marked Shen Yun’s fifth day in Milan. All tickets were sold out in advance, and audience members even rushed to purchase restricted seats released at the last minute, bringing the theater to full capacity.
Order of Merit Recipient: An Experience of Kindness and Divinity

Among those in attendance was Glauco Mora, a recipient of Italy’s Order of Merit and a brigadier general in the Italian Air Force.
“This was a truly unique experience, transforming pure poetry into exquisite movement,” Brig Gen. Mora said. “I felt a profound calm, completely immersed in the atmosphere of the show.”
He added that the performance conveyed a powerful sense of kindness and divinity, including respect for others. “It undoubtedly delivers positive messages,” he said.
Brig Gen. Mora currently serves as commander of the Aeronautical and Space Control Branch of the Italian Air Force. In his current role, he oversees aeronautical and space control operations and related defense missions.
Milan City Council Member: It Is Very Important to Spread Chinese Culture

Milan City Council Member Beatrice Uguccioni and Maurizio Buson, head of corporate banking at a major Italian bank, watched Shen Yun together. “This was an uplifting performance! I really liked it—Shen Yun is delicate yet highly engaging,” said Ms. Uguccioni after the show.
Watching Shen Yun for the first time, Ms. Uguccioni said, “I like the characters in the story about the academy, where a young female pursued her dreams and entered the academy, despite women being barred from entering at the time.”
She felt that the evening’s performance had a healing effect and stated, “In a way, it also has a healing quality because it prompts reflection on many issues and situations, which can be faced with a calmer mindset.”
She added, “It is very important to spread Chinese culture. ... Clearly, the message they want to convey, or at least what I felt, is to safeguard their traditions and spread them worldwide, while also shedding light on the issue of lacking freedom, which people in that country long to have.”
Ms. Uguccioni was moved by the artists’ steadfast faith. “I think they must be very proud of everything they’ve done. Being away from home, persisting in their beliefs while recognizing that the homeland lacks freedoms is not easy.”
Musician: Loved Every Moment of Shen Yun and Would Highly Recommend It

Clarinet player Giuseppe Campana and violinist Antonio Mattia De Bartolo attended the Shen Yun matinee together on Jan. 17.
“I like every moment of the performance!” Mr. Campana marveled, “It is beautiful and extraordinary, and absolutely a show worth recommending.”
When asked which part left the deepest impression, Mr. Campana candidly replied, “All of it! All fantastic! The dance, stage effects, and coordination with the orchestra — really all excellent. Every segment is great.”
After watching the show, Mr. Campana lauded, “I felt like I had just attended a wonderful concert, or seen a marvelous Italian opera; I walked out mentally and physically uplifted, and it felt absolutely worth it.”
Mr. Campana considers Shen Yun “definitely a show worth recommending,” emphasizing, “You must come see it, because it is extraordinarily beautiful and absolutely worth watching!”
Antonio Mattia De Bartolo is a violinist whose career includes solo performances, music productions, and various professional musical activities. He commended: “The performance is riveting, extremely impressive, and unlike some European-style shows. The music is stunning and moving, the choreography is touching, exquisitely beautiful.”
Mr. De Bartolo praised Shen Yun’s music, stating, “Music is what connects people. Even with different styles, it can still resonate with everyone. Shen Yun’s music is deeply moving, and people love it.”
The soprano’s performance also profoundly moved Mr. De Bartolo; “The lyrics convey traditional values well … I think this show presents the pursuit of ethical values and inner happiness in the Eastern Culture.”
Mr. De Bartolo admires Shen Yun artists for their commitment to reviving traditional culture, saying:
“Restoring tradition is very important. I feel we are in a dark era; music remains a fortress of tradition, something we must hold onto, and so is art. Shen Yun is fulfilling a mission in life, and continuing these performances is the right thing to do because the messages can truly be conveyed through this art form.”
