The company’s artists take audiences on a journey through 5,000 years of Chinese culture through classical Chinese dance and music.
“They are extraordinary artists,” Claude Proz, a former theater director, said. “I have to say, at a thousandth of a millimeter when they take off like that into the sky and come back, I find that fabulous. I’m truly blown away.”
Huguette Neuffer, a former computer developer, said, “It’s magnificent. The proof: this is the third time I’ve seen the show. I’m coming back.”
“[The values] it also conveyed through stories was quite meaningful and representative, so it was nice to watch,” Nelida Castillo Calderon Serrano, a human resources manager, said.
“I think it’s magnificent. And each time, the show is different. The dancers are extraordinary ... It’s fabulous,” Ms. Neuffer said.
Mr. Proz said, “I think we all need them, especially now, all over the world. I don’t think it’s just in China. I think these are messages that would do good all over the world if people could follow them. So we hope things will get a little better in the world.”
“There is poetry, humor, tenderness, music—all qualities we should cultivate,” Catherine Stephan, a doctor, said.
