Leanne Savage, a designer and owner of Acala Stem, said, “I’m so inspired by the design. The dancing is just world class—the best I have ever seen.”
Tiffany Dallosto, a professional dancer who watched Shen Yun with her two daughters, said: “It’s really inspirational to be watching you guys up there doing what you do, and it does make everybody feel really good about themselves. And even for myself, being a performer and being on the other side of it, it really does still put a smile on my face and makes me want to keep doing what I’m doing as well.”
Ms. Savage said, “In Australia, we don’t get a lot of color. You look around, everybody’s dressed in black. Even the cars on the road, it’s black or it’s white. We don’t get a lot of color in our lives. And I think when we just spent two and a half hours with that exquisite experience of all that color, it makes us realize that we do need more color. And I need more color in my designs.”
Dance teacher Christine Sully said, “It was just like you’re in a dream. The colors and the dynamic dancing, the backdrop, it’s spectacular—it takes you on a journey.”
“It was incredible. They were so in unison, it was captivating. Their technique was incredible and the acrobatics was just incredible,” former dancer Caitlin Cvitkovic said.
Business owner Kathleen O’Brien said the performance made her feel, “Oh, happy, joyful in my heart. I was very tired when I arrived, but now I feel energised.”
