“It was fantastic. The colors, the timing, the synchronization, it’s really quite a performance,” Mr. Anthony said.
“It was a delight. And I’m glad that I had the opportunity to see it. I don’t go to the theater as much as I would like to, but I do go with some regularity, and it’s a delight to get to see such a beautiful, well-performed, well-produced program,” Mr. Anthony said.
Shen Yun’s artists are trained in classical Chinese dance, one of the most comprehensive dance systems in the world.
“Sometimes a show can be vulgar and crude. This was not. This was classy. It was pleasant. It was inspiring. It tried to emphasize the goodness in humanity as well as a belief in a higher power,” Mr. Anthony said.
He shared that the last piece in particular seemed to be saying that there is a greater good, a greater being, a creator, and a savior.”
“I think anybody who has gone to see this show will feel that influence more directly and better. It’s an inspiring message and an inspiring performance that gives you a good sense of what life can mean and how we can all be together in this world,” Mr. Anthony said.
Mr. Anthony was impressed with “The synchronization of all the dance dancers together, the timing, the full effect of having the background screen with the images, and then some placing of sound effects, to have that timed so perfectly.”
He enjoyed using his senses to experience the performance as a whole.
