Manoel Amorim, a company board member, said the experience was “very impressive.”
“It’s a mixture of dance and gymnastics to our standards, and I was very pleased to learn that was born in Chinese dance; what we usually come to understand as gymnastic movements,” he said.
Taina Wolters, a senior account director, said, “It’s absolutely spectacular. I love all of the costumes. They’re actually gorgeous. And also the technology that has been throughout the show has been very unique and different from anything else.”
“It was fantastic, everything from the colors to the music to the transformation from the screen to the stage,” Daniel Patrick O’Connor, an engineer, said. “And just all the dancing with the ladies, with the sleeves, the water sleeves, that was incredible.”
Mr. Amorim said, “I think it’s a wonderful mission and I think you should keep on it. It was great, very energizing, and brought peace to me.”
Shen Yun performs with a live orchestra that blends classical Western and Eastern instruments. Audience members also appreciated the solo performances by Shen Yun’s bel canto singers and the erhu, a two-stringed Chinese fiddle.
Mr. Amorim said, “What was novel to me and very impressive was the lady playing the two-stringed instrument. That was wonderful.”
“You have done such a spectacular job. Just everything from the presentation to the poise, the dance moves, everything has been exceptional,” Ms. Wolters said.
“The last piece was a golden key to close the show,” Mr Amorim said. “I would like to thank them for their training, their efforts, and their wonderful presentation.”
