Karen Dubois, a government contractor, said, “I thought that the talent was unmatched. The jumps were incredible, the spins were amazing, the costuming was beautiful. The scenery was just elegant and the timing was perfection. I think that they were all in sync and it was such a pleasure to watch.”
Keith Hetzel, retired operations manager at Roadrunner Freight, said, “I can’t believe that people can actually move like this. It’s just a wonderful scene, the dance and the colors, and it’s just a great show.”
Larry Houston, a financial management analyst, said, “I think they brought out reality, that the arts are very profound and that they could actually express themselves here in the United States, in various places.
“I think that they could bring out the music and that they could give us a chance to get away from the war—the communism that’s going on in China right now. It gives us a chance to explore the arts, the music, the dance, and they could actually bring it to life right on the stage,” he added.
Drawing inspiration from China’s rich cultural heritage, each performance presents themes of spirituality and faith, themes that can be traced back to the origins of traditional Chinese culture.
Ms. Dubois said, “I thought that the stories about the Divine and intervention, and peace and goodwill towards others, and the rewards that come from that was just heartwarming to me.”
“I think it’s so important to keep our faith. I think in a world today that has so much diversity and so much anger going on, I think it’s so important that we keep our faith and look to whoever your deity is,” Sara Gutting, a professional development consultant, said.
“It was an absolutely fabulous performance. I would actually come to do it every year. The dancers were amazing. The way they can move their bodies is incredible. And I loved all the story lines. It was an absolutely beautiful, beautiful show.”
