Bernadette Medhurst, an actress, said, “This is spectacular. I can’t tell you how beautiful the show is. The dancing is incredible. The costumes, the stories are, quite frankly, very breathtaking. When you realize the talent and the work that’s gone into it and the precision, it’s outstanding. So thank you so much for the opportunity and for all the dancers and everybody that’s doing such a fantastic job.”
Researcher Seerat Gill said it was the very first time she attended Shen Yun with her family. “It was such a beautiful experience, such a wonderful story. Love the music, love the messages that we took away.”
Emily Vo, a dentist, said, “There is a saying in there that kindness and tradition is really important. And I think that was the biggest point that hit me. I think it’s really important to remember those things. We can go a long way if we remember to uphold those values.”
Ms. Gill said, “I think I’m going to live with some very strong images in my mind, how a story and dance and music come together. It’s very simple, universal messages, but they resonate so deeply with me. Goodness is going to pay you in the end, and that’s what you need to hold on to. So this is such a beautiful reminder. ”
Ms.Vo said, “I liked that a lot of it had to do with karma. The people who did the right thing were always given more blessings in the end. So it’s just a reminder to always do good and be good. And then in the end, everything works out. I highly recommend it. It was so well done. It was so touching, I would recommend it to everybody. We’re definitely coming back now next year.”
Ms. Medhurst said, “All the stories were fascinating because there’s so much, it’s so different, and the costumes and all the stories were wonderful. I say everybody should come and see it, just because it’s a beautiful performance, it’s wonderful to see a different tradition in different cultures. And yes, it’s a wonderful show.”
