SAN JOSE, Calif.—On Dec. 27, the Shen Yun North America Company presented the third local performance of its 2026 world tour at the Center for the Performing Arts in San Jose.
“There isn’t anything like it that I’ve ever seen anywhere before. I’ve seen a lot of ballet, and I was a competitive ballroom dancer. So I’ve seen a lot of dancing, but this is by far the best show ever for dancing,” she said.
Ms. Telesky also noted the impressive coordination between the digital backdrop, music, and dancing, as well as the synchronization of the dancers.
“They are all very skilled. The coordination among them—how high their feet leave the ground, everything happening at the same time—is absolutely incredible. And how they’re in sync with the videos that’s going on. Just an amazing show,” she exclaimed.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Shen Yun Performing Arts’ world tour. Ms. Telesky first saw Shen Yun in 2006, the year the company was founded, and has returned frequently ever since. “I’ve probably seen it about 18 times,” she said.
“It’s just amazing. The costumes are beautiful,” Ms. Telesky said, recalling the joy she experienced during the performance. “I like the whole show. I just like the whole way it’s presented,” she continued, noting that the storylines are easy to follow because they match what’s written in the program book.
She also had a message for the performers: “You guys are fabulous. Keep it up. You’re just amazing!”
