KITCHENER, Canada—Corey Kimpson, Councillor of the City of Cambridge, watched Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Centre in The Square on the evening of March 25. She felt very energized after the show. “I’m leaving [the theater] with so much energy.” Ms. Kimpson said, “I’m really grateful that I was able to come tonight.”
Ms. Kimpson thoroughly enjoyed the performance. She said, “[there is] so much to take in between the dancing and the music and the costumes and the special effects. It was more than I imagined, and I really enjoyed it.”
Shen Yun’s interpretation of traditional Chinese culture through dance and music was also very entertaining and, at the same time, very educational. Ms. Kimpson said, “I wasn’t expecting it to be such an educational performance. It was such a wonderful combination of the culture and the arts and the dance, but learning as well.”
“Having the emcees provide some information for us in between acts was really something. I wasn’t expecting that, and I was really pleased. It was just absolutely incredible!”
Ms. Kimpson praised the high caliber dance techniques displayed by the Shen Yun dancers, “I could tell how well trained the dancers were, and their performance, and everyone was completely in sync. It was just marvelous to watch.”
“It’s my very first time coming, and it was definitely not the last. It was amazing. I can’t wait until next year.”
