“The performance has been stunning. It’s beautiful and rich, especially the story telling. You’re learning history though the story telling and the art of dance. So it’s just extraordinary what we’re learning.”
“These are top-notch dancers. You can tell that they’re professional, that they’re honed in on their craft, that they’re experts in their field and the way in which they perform conveys that emotion, and tells a story which is so beautiful, and I think we all in the audience feel it.”
“Shen Yun is very important for people to see because it does tell a story of the centuries of history in Chinese culture, and that culture is so rich. I think it also makes a statement of how important it is to recognize human rights for all. As I mentioned, Supervisor Hahn has been a staunch supporter of the community for a very long time and the fight for human rights.
“While it is unfortunate that this beautiful production cannot be seen in China, we’re grateful that we’re able [to watch Shen Yun], that we’re privileged and honored to be able to witness it here in the United States.”
The experience has been very moving because you’re hearing the story, you’re hearing the experience of the Chinese people. I’ve never been to China, but I feel like I have been there just a little bit because of the incorporation of the story telling and the dance. It really has been beautiful and very impactful.”
