McDonald’s Tries to Lure Customers Back With Swanky Dining Experience

White plates, stainless-steel cutlery, wineglasses, and tables covered with linens are more five-star restaurant than fast-food joint. But with Restaurant M, a one-day pop-up location in Tokyo, McDonald’s plans to pull out all the stops to transform its food into haute cuisine. The goal: Lure back Japanese customers who have abandoned the burger chain in droves.

At Restaurant M, which will be open for business on July 27, people will be served a five-course meal, reports the news site Ameblo.
