
Kristin Chenoweth, a singer and actress, is expected to perform a special closing number with host Seth MacFarlane, singer, pianist, animator, and director, at The Oscars.
Chenoweth has performed in musical theater, Broadway, film, and television. In 1999, she was awarded a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical, in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
She was nominated for a Tony Award again in 2004 for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, in “Wicked.”
In 2008 and 2009, Chenoweth won a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, in “Pushing Daisies.”
In 2010 and 2011, she again won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, in “Glee.”
