NEW YORK—The digital canvas that is Times Square will set the stage to celebrate Israel’s 70th anniversary on Sunday, June 3.
The free celebration, organized by the Consulate General of New York and the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport, takes place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is open to the public.
Billboards will honor the country’s heritage of innovation as well as its 70 years of history, with live DJs providing the music. Celebrities, including Mayim Bialik, will greet visitors.
“This is a historic event, right at the crossroads of the world. I invite all New Yorkers to come and celebrate with us at the beating heart of this great city,” said Ambassador Dani Dayan, the Consul General of Israel in New York.
