Minnesota-based Hormel Foods Corporation is recalling roughly 4.8 million pounds of foodservice-ready-to-eat frozen chicken products due to concerns of metal contamination, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said in an announcement on Oct. 25.

The problem was discovered after the company received multiple complaints from customers who found pieces of metal in its frozen chicken breast and thigh products, according to the announcement.
