As Eli Boroditsky was driving to work at a cheese plant in New Bothwell, Manitoba, what looked like a dog ran out into the middle of the road. Unable to brake in time, Boroditsky struck the animal.
“I was hesitant to leave it lying there because—thinking that it was a dog and there might be wild animals around—it might get hurt,” he told the CBC. Boroditsky put the animal on the backseat of his car and took it to work with him.
