American Ballet Theater: Pas de Deux From ‘Stars and Stripes’
Set to John Philip Sousa’s rousing patriotic music, this pas de deux (duet) is choreographed by George Balanchine and has been performed for various political figures over the last century. Festival Chamber Music Concert Series

‘Ivanov’: Classic Stage Company
Anton Chekhov’s “Ivanov,” first premiering in 1887, tells the story of a tragically dissatisfied and misunderstood government official, a character described as a Russian Hamlet. Stars of the 21st Century
This Annual International Ballet Gala has visited world-renowned stages in Paris, Cannes, New York, Toronto, Bucharest, Moscow, and Panama City since its debut in 1993. The event features both classical and contemporary dance from around the globe, including performers from the Vienna State Opera Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, Bayerisches Staatsballett Munich, Bolshoi Ballet, Mariinsky (Kirov) Ballet, and Royal Ballet. World Orchestra for Peace
This star-studded orchestra features top players from the Vienna Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Mariinsky Orchestra, and others. Led by conductor Valery Gergiev, they will perform works by Mozart, Strauss, Verdi, Mahler, and Bartok. Musicians from Marlboro
Founded in 1900 as a way to make great music more affordable, the Peoples’ Symphony Concerts is putting on six high-quality performances with leaders in the field and charging $39 for access to all six concerts (only about $6.50 a show). First up is the acclaimed seven-piece Musicians from Marlboro who will perform works by Haydn, Ligeti, and Mendelssohn. Young Beethoven: Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

The Philadelphia Orchestra
Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the orchestra in a performance of Verdi’s “Requiem.” The work “combines the drama of the stage, the emotional power of an oratorio, and the intensity of a symphony in a grand Romantic expression of grief,” according to the event description. Visual Mozart—Opera & Art Unite: ‘Die Zauberflöte’ Highlights

Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra
Reviving Chinese culture after decades of communist decay, Shen Yun Performing Arts Orchestra will have its global debut at Carnegie Hall. The orchestra has performed on premier stages around the world providing accompaniment for Shen Yun’s dance company. Return of Hudson River School
Ending its national tour last month, 45 paintings that depict the enchanting landscape of the Hudson River have returned to New York City. Masterpieces on display include works by Thomas Cole, John F. Kensett, Albert Bierstadt, Jasper F. Cropsey, and Asher B. Durand.
