‘I Can Only Imagine 2’
Bart Millard (John Michael Finley) stands at the top of MercyMe’s success. His son Sam (Sammy Dell) battles a life-altering diagnosis, forcing his wife Shannon (Sophie Skelton) to hold the family together as old scars reopen and faith gets tested under arena lights. The camera stays close to faces, letting John Michael Finley’s Bart wear the strain in his eyes while Sophie Skelton’s Shannon holds steady without melodrama. The film favors family repair over collapse, reminding us that presence matters more than any applause.

Indie Pick

‘Columbus’
Korean-born Jin (John Cho) is stuck in Columbus, Indiana, after a family medical crisis pulls him away from his life. He drifts through the city’s urban spaces until he crosses paths with Casey (Haley Lu Richardson), who treats the buildings like old friends. Their time together forms a connection shaped by place and circumstance.I enjoyed this little indie gem because it slows you down like a soothing walk that clears your head. It’s patient and trusts you to notice subtleties on your own. You can feel the influence of Japanese filmmaker Yasujiro Ozu, and it fits.

Pleasant Chaos Mixed With Easy Laughs

‘Wedding Season’
Ravi (Suraj Sharma) and Asha (Pallavi Sharda) agree to pretend they are a couple to survive a busy summer packed with family weddings. As they move from one ceremony to the next, the setup starts pushing into real-relationship territory.I rooted for Asha and Ravi because their chemistry somehow survives a script that plays by every single rom-com genre rule. The real draw here has to be the fascinating cultural influences and the deep relief that my own parents never built a secret dating profile for me.

A Monumental 1950s Classic

‘Land of the Pharaohs’
Pharaoh Khufu (Jack Hawkins) forces a vast pyramid into existence to guard his legacy, while court intrigue from Princess Nellifer (Joan Collins) and resistance from Master Architect Vashtar (James Robertson Justice) grow inside its walls. This feels like a film made by people who wanted to outbuild everyone else on the lot. It’s oversized and absolutely watchable because of the sheer scale alone.
