Whimsy and fun are in the spotlight at Amused, a new restaurant featuring modern American small plates on the Upper West Side.
There’s Pig in a Pretzel, one-bite pig blankets with kosher beef hot dog inside a pretzel bun with housemade, mesquite-smoked mustard. Or Ramen Noodle Carbonara with pork belly, or crispy String Bean Frites. These dishes are inspired riffs on childhood favorites by executive chef and co-owner Stella Ballarini.
Weekend brunch features Poached Eggs and Tater Tots, Breakfast Banana Split, and Popeye Bruschetta.
Ballarini along with husband and co-owner Gianluca Ballarini are the team behind award-winning, boutique-catering-cum-Scoozi-Events.
Drinks range from seasonal lemonades like Rosemary Lemonade to cocktails, like the Tall, Dark, and Handsome beer cocktail with stout and sparkling apple cider.
Pop-up dinners with themes including childhood memories and the five senses are planned for the spring.
