The Herald Sun, an Australian newspaper, republished a cartoon that has been criticized by some as a racist caricature of tennis star Serena Williams.
It published the cartoon and headline, “Welcome to PC World,” on its front page for Sept. 12.
Cartoonist Mark Knight created the image after Williams’s outburst during the U.S. Open final where she lost to Japan’s Naomi Osaka.

A new video shows chaos inside of a North Carolina Walmart as people attempt to stock up on provisions ahead of Hurricane Florence.
Jenetha Diamondz Satterfield recorded the footage at the Walmart in Durham off Glenn School Road and posted it on Facebook.
“Nobody was fighting, just pushing and rushing to get water,” she wrote.
Three New Species Discovered in the Depths of the Pacific
Scientists have discovered what seems to be three entirely new species of snailfish at some of the most extreme depths of the Pacific Ocean.
The trench is about 3,600 miles long, 40 miles wide, and drops to depths of 26,460 feet. By contrast, the deepest known part of the ocean, Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench southeast of Guam plunges down 35,800 feet.

Hurricane Florence was captured by NASA via the International Space Station, providing a “stark and sobering view” of the Category 4 storm predicted to make landfall in the Southeastern United States.
The footage, according to the space agency, was captured at 7:50 a.m. ET on Sept. 12.

Dwayne Johnson posted a black and white photo on Sept. 10 indicating that shooting of his new “Fast and Furious” spinoff has officially begun.

He commented on his partner wearing a sleek suit standing before a fancy sports car in front of a stylish building, “@jasonstatham is lookin’ like $1million bucks and holdin’ it all down.”
