Urbanspace Markets Kick Off Outdoor Dining Season

NEW YORK—Spring is finally in full swing in New York City, drawing its inhabitants out of hibernation and into the streets for that favorite warm-weather pastime: outdoor dining.

Broadway Bites and Madison Square Eats, two biannual outdoor pop-up markets by Urbanspace, are back just in time for the season, bringing together a motley of diverse bites and sips from around the city.

Broadway Bites, at Greeley Square, features nearly 30 food and drink vendors. Highlights include Ramen Burger, serving up its namesake star; Oconomi, with its Japanese pancake-esque okonomiyaki; and Cryo Cream, flashing a variety of smoking liquid nitrogen desserts.

Mad. Sq. Eats, in Worth Square in the Flatiron District, matches that with 25 vendors, among them Roberta’s, the Truffleist, Korilla BBQ, and Ice & Vice. Load up on a blanket’s worth of food and take it for a picnic in the nearby Madison Square Park.
